Lead Line Cook (Full-Time) – Frothy Monkey Chattanooga
Frothy Monkey is hiring a full-time Kitchen Line Lead for our Chattanooga location to lead our kitchen through breakfast, lunch, and dinner service. We focus on creating original dishes made from fresh, quality ingredients, served in a cozy and approachable atmosphere.
Open 7 days a week, 363 days a year, we offer a consistent and welcoming experience to our guests — and this role also supports our catering business.

Requirements
To be considered for this position, candidates must have:
ServSafe Certification
2–3 years of experience working in a high-volume kitchen
At least 1 year in a kitchen leadership role (e.g., Line Lead, Sous Chef, Kitchen Manager)
Proficiency with scratch cooking and working with fresh ingredients
Working knowledge of health codes and food safety regulations
Strong communication and organizational skills
Availability to work full-time, including weekends and holidays
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Communication
Maintain a respectful and positive tone with team members
Deliver feedback constructively and professionally
Set the tone for urgency and excellence on the line
Communicate with FOH staff regarding ticket times, 86’d items, and special needs
Training & Station Mastery
Master all kitchen stations and assist with cross-training the team
Train team members to uphold Frothy’s culinary and service standards
Execution & Quality Control
Lead full line setup and oversee prep levels to minimize outages
Maintain consistency in food presentation and quality
Conduct line checks and enforce prep standards
Ensure accurate ordering based on pars and cost control goals
Food Safety & Compliance
Be ServSafe certified
Complete and maintain required logs (taste/temp, time/temp, cooling, etc.)
Ensure sanitation procedures are followed, including proper dishwashing, handwashing, thawing, and cooking protocols
Adhere to FIFO (First In, First Out) practices
Cleanliness & Maintenance
Lead daily and deep cleaning efforts throughout the kitchen
Ensure equipment is regularly cleaned and maintained
Monitor and enforce opening/closing protocols
Keep floors clean, workspaces dust-free, and stainless surfaces polished
